I have spent the last 16 years listening and now I have more specific listening to do. Also, I have something to say and something to give.

I want to connect. I want to hear about your mission, your project, your passionate purpose and activate it with you. I want the whole of this revival to bring us closer together so we can share resources and grow super power (with).
To get to the heart of your deepest why, there is a technique where you ask yourself the same why 7 times. By #7 a lot of us get weepy and/or get to the core calling/core wound which are usually connected in beautiful ways.
My 7th Why? has to do with my purpose to be a sweet space for transformation: I see y/our (w)holistic wealth and power AND I see all the things that distract us and block us from it. I saw it in my family and community growing up. I see it in my dearest comrades and myself. I have found some tools and created some tools to remove those blocks and activate the connections that we need to achieve our highest destiny. Now, that’s all I want to do!

And it includes music, play, catharsis, luxury, joy, abundance AND challenge. Because fear can’t go with us to some of the places we have to go. This is the ceremony for that!

FAQ

My sermons are approximately 30 to 45mins long. If you have specific time requests, you can let me know.

I also do invocations that are 7 to 20mins long AND workshops that are 2-4hrs long.

You can imagine the invocation as a more refine and action packed super short sermon. You could imagine the workshop like a sermon with practical exercises (like guided meditation, congregational singing, etc.) and playfulness (like dancing, hand games, etc).
My sermons are spiritual but not necessarily religious. However, I do draw insights from religious texts and show much honor and reverence to each JUST AS I show much honor and respect to the Black feminist texts and secular music that I lift up.

My experience is that folks who have experienced church hurt find the sermonic space healing because of how I (a Black, Gender Non-Conforming, Lesbian, Trans*, Non-Binary, Queer person) lift up those texts and put them in conversation with sacred Black feminist and secular texts.

We also amplify an expansive understanding and languaging of the divine infinite (aka the Oneness, God, Love, Lifeforce, Olodumare, Allah, Unified Field, Divine Indwelling Intelligence, etc.). Let’s explore and reason together!
With your invitation be prepared to offer your best hospitality and cover an honorarium for me and the team plus all travel costs (air, ground, accommodation, food, etc.). Remember that this is also a fundraiser to support other aspects of the work. In addition to funds we are growing relationship and generative connection. So, your capacity to offer great hospitality should also be factored into your comprehensive budgeting for this event/invitation please. I may bring folks to supplement the fundraising effort by offering adornment, tools and/or books to those gathered. Individuals will also be able to make additional donations.

If you are inviting the choir as well their costs will also require the same support.

We relate to this as a once in a lifetime opportunity to prepare, share and connect with you. This is no fly by night sit’ation! Let’s bring it.

The preaching invitation means you want to explore having me come to your community/space and offer sermonics/preaching. The preaching invite is also what you would use if you want me to offer anywhere from a sermonic invocation to a four hour workshop that includes sermonics.

The revival invitation means you want me to come for multiple days and you are also interested in having my collaborators including THE CONGREGATION (my congregational singing choir and band) come to help activate sacred chu’ch space with me. The revival can be 1 to 5 days long with us offering 1 gathering per day maximum.
